The Village of Irma boasts a large campground facility that comes equipped with 30 full service lots, 12 electric supplied lots and an overflow area that is without service. Showers and washrooms are available on site. There is a dumping station on site. The campground is nestled at the north end of the village, right next to the Irma baseball diamonds and the curling and hockey rinks. There are several picnic tables for travelers to enjoy a lunch or supper cooked over a fire pit.

Recreation in Irma Print E-mail

Irma hosts a Senior's drop-in-centre, legion hall, an arena with artificial ice, an outdoor rink, 4 sheet curling rink, 4 baseball diamonds, an agricultural grounds which hosts team roping, ranchers rodeo and gymkhana as well as a library located in the school which is open to the public.

Irma Golf Print E-mail

The Irma Golf Club is a 9-hole golf course with grass greens, driving range and practice green. This community course features a rolling terrain suitable for all levels of golfers. The licensed clubhouse offers Sunday brunch, lunch and evening meals, snacks, and pro shop supplies. Camping facilities are available. The golf course is located northeast of Irma. From Highway 14, turn north on the graveyard road (range road 9-2) and travel 1 km before going west 1 km. The golf course is on the north side of the road.

Curling Print E-mail

The Irma Curling Club features four sheets of artificial ice. The club is a hardworking sponsor for the curling school, and is also the home of Alberta’s finest mid-summer curling bonspiel. The annual “Irma Summerspiel” which concludes each year on the first Monday in August is an exciting festival. Winter curling consists of a men’s league, womens league, mixed league and also Junior curling.

2011 curling will start November 1st.
