The Council of the Village of Irma has passed an updated version of the current Animal Control Bylaw 12-02, to regulate and control domestic pets, animals and pests within the Village of Irma.

By-Law #02-02: Sidewalks Print E-mail

“That each and every property owner shall be responsible to remove all accumulated snow from sidewalks that abut their property within 48 hours following a snowfall.  Further that a fine of $50.00 may be levied for a first offence and $150.00 for each ensuing offence. 

Further that in case of non-compliance the Village staff may remove accumulated snow with a subsequent billing to the responsible party at the rate of $50.00 per cleaning. 

Subject to Section 553 of the Municipal Government Act any unpaid costs that have been levied in respect to snow removal may be added to the tax roll of a parcel of land for recovery.”
